I went to my LFS and my GF bought me a new gold stripe maroon as a belated birthday gift! He's been quaranteened and looks very healthy and active. He's quite a bit smaller than my current one, so hopefully they will become a mated pair. I have the new addition in a small hamster ball in the water for protection until they are accustomed to each other. I figure it's the safest way for him to be in the tank he will live in but also be safe from any bullying. I'll post pics soon.

The larger older maroon is wiggling like her pants are on fire now. It seems aweful soon, but it looks like she is doing the mating dance already!!! :trapoline: I thought it would be at least a year or more before any signs of spawning would begin, heck, the new male is still in the hamster ball! Well my maroon has broken all laws of the norm. She hosted to her anemone before it even attached itself to its rock, about 10 seconds into being put into the tank. So who knows. I took a video if her wiggling and swimming, I'll post that as soon as I have time to edit it down to net friendly size. :)

Here are some pics of the new little guy. The larger one is Marlin and the new small one I named Coral. I know it's backwards since the larger one is female, but whatever, I didn't want to change their names. I had Marlin since (s)he was the size of Coral. :p lol

Thanks everyone! I let him out of the ball last night as he just wasn't looking happy anymore. All the others left him alone, so I went to bed. All the fish were minding their own business this morning too, even during feeding, so that's a relief. My 3 stripe damsel swatted his tail at the little guy, and the little guy snapped at his tail, so the damsel swam off like WTH. I took a picture this morning before I left for work, I'll post that tonight when I get home. :) He hasn't grown the courage to host on the anemone with Marlin, so he has been rubbing on the GHA on the rock. :bouncylau

I came come last night to find the little guy all wrapped up in the anemone, rubbing away on the tentacles! Marlin was just relaxing above the anemone and Coral, letting him enjoy his new home. The two clowns have taken to each other quite nicely, and the damsels are completely leaving him alone. Now I just need to get a little nocturnal moon-light to see if I can get them to spawn. :)
