Got Bored

    So today I took a much needed day off and found myself bored and decided to paint the tank stand. So here is a before and after let me know what you think.

    I like the look of wood but it really made the tank stand out. Good job.

    I agree with Otty about the wood look myself; however, it really did make the tank standout in a very good way. Good job.

    I also like the color of wood, but in your case, the blk color brings out all the colors inside the tank. Good job. Luna

    I'm glad that you posted both the before and after.... I would have chosen the before... but the after photo really brings out everything about the tank....

    I like the painted, and personally despise the 1970's wood look. But as stated, personal preference. Good job, too! What kind of paint did you use?

    The paint I used was:

    Rust-Oleum American Accents Fast Drying Latex- Gloss Black

    One of the big reasons for painting the stand was that all the other furniture in the room is more modern looking (ie black and silver) so the wood look really stood out like a sore thumb.

    I talked about doing this last night at the bar and low and behold my good friends show up with paint and brushes and well here we are. I am really liking how it looks in the room and in general. Thank you all.
