    Garlic? Selcon?

Is that to kill the ich, or to get the fish to feed? - Rhetorical question

I thought the fish was eating good?

Funny that now that I use Seaweed- NOT garlic prepared- my fish devour it twice as fast!- funny huh?

He is eating good but I want it on hand just in case. But from what I read the selcon taste good to them & garlic helps fight off parasites & such. I'm a noob in fish disease so excuse if I'm wrong.

Everyone was a noob once in this hobby. You're doing the right things it sounds like, and 3reef has given you and me both alot of advice as a fellow noob. Nice looking fish; hope this passes for you and you have more success. On a side note, how are the Zoas you got? any pics in another thread, or can you post one here?

funny, not really, but an observation per your personal experience with your healthy fish, yes.

IMO, selcon is a good thing to supplement here and there, and garlic is great to stimulate appetite and boost the immunity in sick fish when needed. Feeding it all the time is not a good thing as some studies suggest that it can cause, IIRC, liver disease in fish.

But I think theres a real valid reason why MOST people rec them both during an Ich attack, and Selcon can help keep the fish healthy to ward them off.

The zoas aren't anything special. This was the best they had & a lil pricey. I just wanted something in the tank to see how they would do before I drop serious cash on some sweet zoas. This has got about 3 diff colors on it but only one is seen, plus a few green shrooms. [IMG]

I think those zoas look great! If your fish is showing fewer spots, that is a good thing. Hope it continues to get better for you and it's able to fight off the ich!

I got home yesterday & noticed my fish ich was gone from his almost all his body. It looked like he had a few spots around his head but other then that his gills & fins & body is clean of any sight. I didn't think it would disappear that quick. Maybe it was just a low level of ich from transport. But he's happy & I'm happy.

Thanks, but I almost made a bad decision in dealing with the ich. But luckily 3reef was here to save the day. I think this one deserves a donation to Matt for 3reef. Hopefully this doesn't become a habit. Lol
