I have heard about that fairly often with light fixtures. I would order the bulbs from Aquacave or Reefgeek when it comes time to replace. They both protect the bulbs fantastically.

I would raise holy moly with who ever you got the fixture from to get them to replace the bulbs.

I got a T5 from currentUSA (through ebay) and everything was packaged really well. I'm sure whoever you got it from had some kind of guarantee.

I think you ment to say UPS sucks ALL the time.

I swear, the more "glass" and "fragile" stickers you plaster all over a box, the rougher they handle them.

sorry to hear about that, reefgeek packs them amazingly I can only imagine what UPS had to do to still break them. It's possible they used the box as an Elephant chair for their circus delivery.

    hahah.

I ordered a set of glass lilly pipes for my planted tank from china, (not sure which shipping company it came through, one of those weird ones that just drive up in a plain truck) but the box literally looked like someone sat on it. The box had no shape or integrity left, but luckily, it was packed tight enough the glass did not break....... had to share ;D

I know what you mean. My frag tank (acrylic) was shipped via UPS and was covered in tape that said FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE. I was expecting a completely shattered tank. Fortunately, the seller knows how to UPS proof the tank.

I personally know of about 60 bulbs (10 diferent orders of 6 bulbs) that have come from reefgeek and only one arrived broken. Stuff happens and reefgeek sends out new bulbs right away as long as you have a photo of the broken bulb.
