the nerites will escape if you have an open top... I've found them on the floor a day later... they almost always survived.

after about 6 months or so, they stopped falling out (almost stopped anyway) and it's like they learned where to stop at...

    not an issue, just FYI.

How long have you had them? I've only had mine for about 8 hours now so I'm not too worried.

I heard they will commonly stay dormant for up to 72 hours so yours should be OK.

Well, mine came in on Friday...
EVERY one of my Florida ceriths are dead, more than 72 hours later with no movement at all.
When i opened their bag it smell HORRIBLE. I should have known already this was the case.

Better luck next time I hope.

Yeah, that stinks that the Florida Ceriths didn't make it. Just let Reefcleaners know, they are outstanding when it comes to customer service. I only had 3 fl. ceriths last order and one didn't make it, the other two are moving all over, I have no idea when they came out, just one night, there they were, it could have been a week or more. I'm getting 8 more this wed., the 15th. Good luck to you.

Let me know... perhaps this is the case with several of the most recent shipments. Wonder if both are packages sat out in the wrong kind of weather too long?
