Very good day in my book. I love those 'shrooms! Do they have goldish/orangish flecks in them? If so I just recently traded my LFS some xenia for a rock with 4 on it.

My shrooms are pretty solid red. Didn't see any flecks in them under their lights or mine.

OMG I'm so excited! I just fed the tank, and I was looking around & heard the pistol shrimp snap. As usual, I went to the side of the tank to look in the back, since it seems that it snaps when AH is back there cleaning his burrow/moving sand around. As I'm standing there thinking "This sucks, I'll probably never see it again!" I notice that some food landed on one of the palys and it closed up around it. Distracted (squirrel! heheheh) by that, I grabbed the magnifying glass to give the paly a good eyeballing, and saw something red come out from under the rock it's next to. First thought: "hmmm, cleaner shrimp molt tail" -- 2nd thought when I saw it yank food back into the hole! "AAAAHHHHHHHHH!" and a happy dance LOL. That was a good sized claw too, so that sucker has really grown since we put it in!

Would it be too much to hope that the other one found its way over & they're paired up? They were in the same burrow when we bought them. And that's the corner all those fry were in a couple weeks ago.

You just bought the same corals that I have in my tank. I swear they are the same but my mushrooms are purple and green. So thanks for telling me my tank is boring just joking. lol ;D

LOL Jtr, most people want the fancy-named zoas, so when I post these no one even comments cuz they're not Super-special-expensive-some guys name-$300 per polyp frags! I love all our corals though!

If you train the Pistol with a feeding tube, they will eventually come out in the open whenever you feed. They are cool creatures. I've had one in the trigger tank that I haven't seen in over a year, but I hear him snapping away every night. :p

Not sure this one will come out yet. When we put it in (at the same time as the fish), the smallest cardinal tried to eat it. It snaps the most when the big cardinal hangs out in that area LOL. I'm sure it'd feel braver paired with the goby, but for now we get to see the claws & head if we look into the hole LOL.
