I just made a trip about two hours away to pick up a 8x54 Icecap t5 retro that I got a heck of a deal on and also got some frags thrown in on the deal. I got a few pieces of a monti digitata, and three others that I forgot the names of. I also just wanted to show off a picture of my "mushroom tree" I made lol.is

This one is my mushroom tree

This is the leather I got when I got the light. When I got it was covered in like green polyps it looked like.

I am not sure at all what this is. He told me but I don't think I ever even heard the name before. I just remember he said it was rare?

This I believe is the monti.

Not sure what this one was called either.

This is my pearlberry acro I bought at the LFS.

And this was labeled as a red planet acro. Not sure about this one tho as there was two frags labeled this and they looked different. Also when looking online for examples of it, I found some variations. Some looked like it some didn't.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures. Noth to mention the light color isn't really to my liking yet. I'm going to order new bulbs on monday.

Those are really nice pieces! I believe your "rare" coral is a montipora setosa, they are so bright! I really enjoyed the pics, thanks for sharing :)

Good looking corals, it will be nide to see them when they acclimate to your tank and with the lighting you want.

That sounds like it might be the name of it. Its ringing a few bells. It is definitely bright but also VERY small lol. It might be the size of a dime. I can't wait to get the bulbs I want for the light. I miss the color of my 20k halide. The one acro frag I have had for a while just isn't its bright green since the moment I switched lights.

Has anyone ever seen a webpage that showed a bunch of different coral types and how water flow and light affects the growth of the coral? I found it once and could never find it again.

Thank you but not really what I was looking for. Was just an interesting read and interesting to see two of pretty much the same corals grow completely differently depending on the type of flow they were in. I think this is what I was referring to... Acropora's Coral Guide - Nano-Reef.com Forums or at least something like this.

Thanks. I really can't wait to get my new bulbs so everything will look how I want it too. The borealis acro I have had for a little bit isn't really that green anymore because the lights are pretty yellow/white in color.
