    Yellow polyps it is. They're beautiful. The LFS I frequent has a coral tank with 3 levels of corals, each perched on eggcrate. Upper and middle eggcrate are covered with yellow polyps that they can't sell, b/c thy're affixed to the eggcrate material. It's bittersweet to see, as they're pristine, but for show only. When conditions are right, yellow polyps will grow fast.

    no matter how picky a reef tank owner is,theres certain common corals that they keep even though their not rare or expensive.yellow polyps,green star polyps,and zoos.even the snobby types keep them.
