And control the flood light! hehe. Much fun in tracking random people with a flood light from a helicopter!!! We flew over police scenes and all through the buildings of downtown Houston. Very impressive stuff.

Anyway, enough jabbering; here's the pics!

Keep in mind, it's not a smooth ride. And I only had a phone camera (it was spur of moment sort of thing)

    In downtown

Downtown with view of the Toyota Center. I've heard "Rockets" play here. I think its sports.

George R. Brown Convention center. All I know of this is this is where I went as a kid when I entered my cat in a cat show and nowadays I go here for gun shows.

    No idea what this is
EDIT: Asked my bro - it's the Astrodome and Reliant Center next to each other. The dome is where the Oilers played. Foozeball. The other one is where the Houston foozeball team plays... Texases I think?

    EDIT:
Here's another shot of the Astrodome with my spotlight on it!

Hope you enjoyed my shaky pictures ;D

    I had a blast.

Sounds like fun...... I just recently learned that police helicopters purposely shine their light anywhere but the person they are looking for. This gives the "bad guy" false hopes that they don't know where he is. In the meantime they are using flir and directing officers right towards him. Cool beans riding in a copter.

Nice pics! I flew in a helicopter on the island of Kuaii, Hawaii for 45 min. The pilot was an ex-vietnam huey pilot. He was very coool, and so was see the actual waterfall from Jurassic Park.

Cool. I've always wondered what helicopter flight is like.

Well, it's NOT like 24! You don't have to scream at each other, it's fairly quiet (considering). And it was a lot smoother than I anticipated. But still a bit shaky as demo'd by the pics :)

You sure those were not your hands that were shaking ;D:p.

Joking aside I would be a bit scared, but I think it would be cool. By the way how did you get to fly in a police helicopter in the first place
