My general contractor / cabinet maker friend came over today and we spent about 5 hours working on the tank and planning next steps. It's sick how much more work I have to do on this thing. I've got at least a dozen more projects and each one is going to tank anywhere from 5 hours to 5 days. A lot of time was spent planning the layout in the fish closet.

Yeah dude, but look at it this way...you will always have 500 projects you need to do. For the rest of your life. Every time I finish one, two more get thrown at me. Tis the way of things I suppose.......

Good job so far. Let's see a few more pics.

Luna hasn't discovered this thread yet and I'm still afraid to go 24 hours without posting new pics. When I planned things out, I miscalculated by 1.5" for the height of the exhaust duct. Thankfully I had just friction fit the PVC duct work so I was able to disassemble everything and rearrrange a bit. I still have a bit of drywall repair and paint touch-up but we managed to get the hood on the tank today.

For reference, the top of that ladder is right around 9'.

Here are a few shots with the hood closed. The closet doors in the background are fairly standard 6'8" doors.
