I think its awesome that your wife appeared to be quite a good sport and was helping you.

I guess technically this whole thing WAS her idea... correct?

"Honey...you can get a reef tank if you remodel the garage..."

    Looks great though man.

Personally, I think you should tell that story as your next patient is going under - they will never believe you...

Even with all the chaos in the tank, I got a pleasant suprise yesterday. I hadn't seen my Aurora Goby in about a week. His usual hang out was definately empty but I saw him come out at feeding time and his new home is over where the elusive pistol shrimp was last spotted. I'm thinking that they finally found each other.

Hey where'd you say you got the base rock? They all look so good and I don't want to flip through the last 100 pages to find it...

I actually looked into getting a HEEDs and a SCUBA tank to recharge it. The HEEDs is really small and provides enough air for 2-3 minutes. It would be a lot less bulky in the aquarium than full-on SCUBA gear and a bit cheaper as well. The down side is having to come up and refill it every couple of minutes.

My base rock came from Bulk Reef Supply. I went with the Pukani after I asked them to send me a piece of eack of the three kinds that they have, Pukani, Fiji, and Fiji 'shelf'.
