    You wouldn't want to use a household compressor to breathe with because of the oil in it, trust me it is disgusting to breathe and will make you sick. You could flush out the compressor and change over to a mineral oil but it will shorten the life of the compressor.

    Also, there's a reason they call them REGULATORS :) Meaning, the max they normally put out is 125-150 psi, which is what you'd be breathing in at like 150+ feet down (way beyond the legal limits of recreation diving), so at the surface in GTS's he'd still be breathing a pressure close to the surface pressure he normally breathes. For example, Pressure doubles every 33 or so feet you go down, so if you sink a balloon, it's half it's size at that depth, and anothe 33 feet down (66 feet) it's a quarter of the size of what it started as, hence why you need 100+ PSI available in a scuba regulator. The air cylinders themselves have anywhere from 500psi to over 3000 depending on how long you've been breathing on that sucker :) I still think you'd get away with an extended snorkel that was wider than standard, allowing more air to come in. Or have a bike pump at the other end. Or hold your breath? Once you get the tank good and set, you won't need to go diving in it anyways.

    Maybe an electric air mattress pump with the extended snorkel.

    I also experienced a slight outbreak when I got the new purple tang. Fed well, often and added garlic and the outbreak subsided after a week or so.

    What a loooong day. I finally got my four VHO lights mounted over the tank this morning. I still have a little fine tuning to do but they're operational.

    I then spent 2 hours going over the tank with my 'design consultant' (thanks Jan) who called my order ahead to the LFS so my corals were mostly all bagged and ready when I arrived. I made a few more selections and was back home 2 hours later. Then it took me another 3 1/2 hours to get the corals in the tank.

    Final tally: 4 new lights, 24 corals, 1 maxima clam, and 1 long tentacle anemone

    Pics tomorrow. By the time I got all the coral positioned it was past time to turn out the tank lights and I was too lazy to clean the glass so that I could get some acceptable shots.

    HOLT ****, Go to sleep is exactly what I need to do.

    GoToSleep's 700g Build Thread (& complete remodel)-09 is a must see adventure. A woman's dream to have her garage back becomes an never ending adventure for one man.

    You will smile, cry, take a bathroom break and laugh again

    NY times raves- If you could only read one thread, it's sure as hell this one!
    :: End that epic voice::

    I still can't believe I spent 4 solid hours reading this.. I also can't believe your knowledge in setting this whole thing up. I've been taking care of fresh water tanks since I was 8 years old. Now I'm 22 and working on LED lighting for coral tanks. I still can't believe how much you know about all this. I wouldn't have a clue how to lower my ceiling and add a motor to a canopy.

    Biggest system I worked on was a 9 tank display system with 2 sumps and a bunch of overflows.

    damn. even the water leak detection is tied to the main house system so people will call you if there's a problem.

    My head is still spinning. This is an emotional thread. Actually the first time you stop posting for a few days, I help my breath and kept hitting the next page button praying disaster didn't happen.

    I just wish you the best of luck in every possible way.

    P.s. I was born in Virginia Falls church. I always dreamed of going back to Virginia. It's nice to know there's some good LFS there.
