The video was real nice. I like the purple lyertails and your corals are awesome. I just got a camcorder and haven't learned how to upload to you tube. When I do I'll start a thread and let you know. It wouldn't be right to attach it to your thread GTS. After all you put a lot of work into it.

Yeah those hermits can be frisky but you need them. A previous reefer was right on about the snails they get that suction going and they can be stronger. Please do consider a few Emerald Crabs they are cleaning machines.

I've heard that only the Blue Jaw Trigger is somewhat safe in a reef. Can anyone with experience back that up. Triggers generally are shell eaters and with a clean up crew and shrimps there is a risk. The blue jaw is a nice looking fish though. Make darn sure before you turn a trigger loose in that tank that it is safe!;)

Depending on who you talk to... pink tail, cross hatch, and sargassum triggers are other 'reef safe' options. I'm thinking blue jaw or cross hatch.

I didn't know about the pink tail trigger being reef friendly. I had one in my old fish only 150g and he was so cool. They are a doscile fish. I would get one but I'd be afraid he'd get too big and all triggers like to wedge themselves in the rocks and as they get bigger there's a chance that he could topple the rocks but I'm open to suggestion. The other thing is the shrimp and snails and hermits might be part of his diet.:-/
