I stopped by the LFS this afternoon to see if they had any Copper Banded Butterflies but no luck today. They do have 2 nice looking Majestic Foxfaces though and some Bluespot Jawfish. If I get my backlog of maintenance and upgrade tasks cleared, I'll put in a few more fish.

Happy to see that GTS is not done. I'll be keeping an eye on the thread.

Kool Vid GTS. You have a lot of livestock in there. It's really nice. The purple tangs are gorgeous and your frogspawn is huge.

Well I had a little suprise this morning... as I was heading out to work I could see that the main pump was sucking air. With my ATO, this shouldn't happen (the water level in the sump should never drop this low). A little investigation showed that the ATO unit was not functioning and further investigation turned up a small puddle of water right where the Tunze Osmollator was plugged into an extension cord on the floor of the fish closet. This was a good practical test of the GFCI breakers that my fish room circuits are on... the breaker tripped apropriately. Some moisture had actually gotten inside the Tunze transformer plug. I could see that a screw held the two halves of the transformer together. I thought that it would be simple to get this apart but Tunze is sneaky. They didn't use a standard screw... they used a (somewhat) unusual type of security screw that requires something know as a spanner bit. A google search for "security bits" turned up some useful sets and for aobut 10 bucks I was able to get a set that included 4 spanner bits as well as a bunch of other esoteric security bits that are bound to come in handy sooner or latter.

BTW, if you don't already have an ATO it is one of the best investments you can make. My tank went through 3 gallons of evaporative loss in 12 hours today.
