how'd the water get to the tunze power supply? good catch, glad you didnt burn up your pump. makes me wonder if one can rig a controller to notify by sms when water level is low.

Yep, something pretty close to that.

I'm still not sure where the water came from. I really wasn't very much but it happend to be right where the power supply was plugged into an extension cord right on the floor. Can you say "drip loops are your friend"?

I was in the LFS today. One of my Tunze 6205's had stopped working so the owner gave me a new one :). I really can't say enough about how fantastic my LFS is. He's also ordering in a new power supply for my Osmolator just in case I can't get my working again once it dries out. I was in such a good mood about the fantastic treatment that I picked up some PE Mysis as a treat for the fishes and had them write SOLD on a half-dozen or so new fish for me. I should be taking them home on Friday or Saturday.

MORE fish? so, is it cool with you that your house becomes the 3reef Mecca? cuz that's what's gonna happen, you know that?

btw, good work with the drip loop. simple enough to do but easy enough to forget.

So, are you considering the 300g or still planning on custom building the 700g? I think either would look awesome and I can only congratulate you!!! I will be following the project... can't wait to see the completed tank!!!! :)))))

Pictures and videos of the tank are in this thread. 550 gal display tank and 700 gal total system volume. Right now I have a small leak somewhere that I'm trying to track down.

It's the return of Fish on Friday!!!

I spent 3 hours or so at my LFS tonight and picked up a few new fish. The lights were already out on the tank when I got home so pics will have to wait but it should ease their transition a little bit. Here's what I got:

The Magnificent Fox Faces looked so magnificent that I picked up 2 ;D
    a Sargassum Trigger
    a Rusty Angel Fish
    a Leather Jacket Filefish
    a Scribbled Rabbitfish
    a Flame Hawkfish
    a Clown Tang
    a Blue Spotted Jawfish
    a Copper Banded Butterfly
    a Dusky Jawfish
and a Red Spotted Scooter Blenny

Now it's time to go put 'em in the tank.
