I've wanted one for a while. Hopefully my three new bottom dwelleres will build their homes near the front of the tank where I can see them. My pistol shrimp's burrow is so far to the the back that I rarely catch a glimpse. One of the other customers at the LFS was telling me that he got an engineer goby that diasappeared as soon as he put it in his tank. He didn't see it again until he was rearranging some rocks 18 months later.

 The fish weren't even half of the bill. The day that I picked up my Profilux accessories: SMS expansion, View II display, eX card, P3 upgrade, extra power bar, probes, cables, etc... the store was busy so the owner said "don't worry about it, I'll catch up with you later". That was like 2 months ago and I finally got him to let me square things with him. It was, of course, the right thing to do but it did pump up my fish bill quite a bit.

For anyone the least bit envious of all the electronics, they come with their own set of frustrations. When I upgraded from Profilux II to P3, I didn't record the calibration (ADC) values on my original unit so that I could reenter them after the upgrade. It was only after I finished the upgrade a few weeks ago that I realized that my temp probe was no longer reading accurately. At that point I had two options: the work around choice which was to get another thermometer, compare that known temperature to the temp displayed by the Profilux, claculate the diference and then enter this into the Profilux software thereby having a software correction to the values returned by the Profilux temperature sensor. Unfortunately the 'proper' way to do things was also the PITA way to do things. I spent two hours this afternoon to downgrade my P3 back to a II, connect it to the desktop computer that I had to lug downstairs from the office (because I lost USB connectivity when I did the down grade), record the original temp probe calibration data like i should have done the first time around, and then re-upgrade to P3. The end result is that I have an accurate temperature reading on my tank for the first time in 3 weeks ;D. Thankfully, a tank this big doesn't change temperature very fast.

Oh yeah, my LFS has Sagassums in all the time. I had 3 to choose from last night. Unfortunately, they didn't have a crosshatch trigger for sale or I might have gotten that instead. They had 3 crosshatches in right before Christmas and a guy drove 2 hours to come pick up all 3 of them (he kept the mated pair for himself and the single make went to his buddy).

The Rusty Angel is the first one of those that I've seen and a really pretty fish. It reminds me a bit of the Africanus Angel that they've had in for close to 2 months. It's a stunning fish but I can't bring myself to drop that kind of dough (said the guy looking to pick up a cross hatch or two).
