They are each in their own 'hiding' places right now. One is really funny, he's hiding in the bluespot jawfish's hole right at the front of the tank. He hasn't moved out of there in over 12 hours and the jawfish has to squeeze under him to get out to eat. I really hope they settle in and do well. They were a pretty big investment.

I kinda felt like I ought to Act Now lest I wind up regretting the time that I actually had a chance to get some and let it pass me by. Those within a few hours of Richmond, VA give Fish World a call if you want one.

    some beautiful new additions.

if the top did happen to fall while you were snorkeling, would you really have been stuck? That is a really scary thought. Death by reef tank. Ouch.

Are you going to use a stronger cable or what to resolve the canopy issue?

I'll know more when I get up in the ceiling to check things out tomorrow but I suspect that the cable slipped loose from the turnbuckle that was securing the end. If this is the case, the cable would still be intact. I think that I am going to carefully reevaluate the cable and the attachment hardware. I'm also going to add inspecting the canopy hardware to my maintainence checklist.

If you snap a pic of the hardware and associated fittings where the canopy came loose, I can check it out. I see a bit of fastening in industry with cables, turnbuckles and the like, and I could compare it to what I've seen.

I'm glad all's OK. I don't even want to imagine if you were in the tank at the time. :-/
