Sounds like a small ray of sunshine for good news :) Definitely not the best news, but at least it wasn't a total loss.

I have one word for coralline and other algae-on-glass issues. Urchins. They've worked wonders for us, they'll work for you ;)

GTS - Great to see you back. I was getting pretty worried about you. I am sorry to hear about the losses you have had. Let us know if there is anything you need.

This is a shame to lose all those fish. Overcrowding is a problem I worry about too. I love fish which is why I do this but sleeping quarters have to be considered along with water parameters. I add rock as I add fish to make new areas to sleep in. It's funny I know as I'm writing this but it makes sense to me. If fish have nowhere to sleep then tempers flare up and stress follows and then ich.
We as hobbyists get puzzled all the time about why things happen which is why we are here at 3reef in hopes of finding the answer. Even the most knowledgeable ones shake their heads in wonder. Hang in there GTS as they say you'll look back at this some day and realize what happened.

We miss you GTS where are you? I know that this hobby has it's ups and downs and quite frankly it is to be expected. I've had a colt coral spawn all over the place and I had to pull it out to give the corals around it some relief. I have a toadstool leather that has gotten so huge it's putting my tank out of whack. It covers 3 corals when it opens all the way up to 15" wide. Hey what I'm saying is you have a great thread here and we just want to know if your ok. Heck I have Lymphoma. I imagine that your in better shape than me....;)
