I would raise the floor but the tank is to heavy for me to lift ;).

All my wiring runs through the ceiling which is dropped 18" from the original so I have good access there. For the new outlets, I actually already had the wire run 'just in case'. All that I had to do yesterday was add a breaker and put the outlets in a junction box.

on the return pump manifold (aka supersoaker 9000) what is the john guest fitting with the yellow ro tube for?

Also, do you happen to have pics, or can you elaborate on the durso overflow's Expansion joint so you can adjust the height 4"? I am doing my overflows very soon for my 193g plywood build, and I have done durso's in the past, but never DIY'ed one that is adjustable that easily. I like how my 90g AGA megaflow's standpipe is adjustable.

    BTW I love build threads.

Have you considered a booster pump and maybe running a second RO unit?

GoToSleep, these exandable PVC sleeves are they "on the fly" expandable? Or rather, do you pick the length, then use glue to make it permanent?

I did consider a booster pump and when I talked to the tech support guys at BRS, they said that they'd be happy to sell me one but suggested that I give the unit a try with the 50 psi that I'm getting when I hook straight to the tap. If I can make 130gpd without a pump it may be worth while to just take an extra day to fill the tank. Running a secind RO unit is a great idea, although in a way, I'm already doing this with the 2 75gpd membranes on my unit. I think by the time I track down somebody willing to loan me their RO/DI unit, I can have the job done with what I've already got.

Unless I had extenuating circumstances that dictated filling my tank as fast as possible, I personally don't see any reason to speed up the process. Other than the strong desire to get that tank filled--is there a specific need in your scenario where time is of the essence?

This is me securing the plumbing for my 120W UV sterilizer. These pipes are running down behind where the 200gal vat will sit. You can see the sterilizer at the top of the picture. The 6" PVC Ell way above my head is part of the exhaust duct from above the tank on the other side of that wall.

Here are my 'little' tanks, the 40 breeder and the 30 breeder freshly drilled and with their new overflows siliconed in position.

Some more of the plumbing before the tanks and the vat went into position.
