The collection cup and self-cleaning head are off the skimmer in these shots.

I've already started labeling the plumbing. Labeling the electrical cords is going to be even more important because the definately all look alike.

Well.. I was thinking more long term. Sometimes problems arise where you need to do a big water change. You would pretty much need to be making water continuously and if it wasn't already made it could take days to get what you need.

If you don't mind me asking what do you have invested in the whole set up. Not the remodel just the aquarium and all associated stuff? Ballpark numbers are fine. Have you estimated what the cost will be to run the tank after all stocking and intial startup cost? It really is coming along nicely and I appluad you patience and taking the time to do it right!
    ;D

    Matt,

I love to ski (water and snow). I've got a few friends with ski boats and the total cost for this set up is a bit less than a boat would have cost me. The good news is that I'll be able to enjoy the tank anytime and not have to hitch up a trailer. By the way, do you know what BOAT stands for? Break Out Another Thousand. They also say that a boat is a fiberglass lined hole in the water that you pour money into. Hmmm, this is sounding more and more like a reef tank all the time.
