:eek::eek: Holy Cow, MasterCraft boats are right pricey! My tank is probably more along the Bayliner scale of things or maybe a gently used Ski Nautique.

I love to waterski / wakeboard and I own a reef tank. The way my plywood 193g is built, it is basically built like a reverse boat;)
    Both are expensive.

Here is my resto modded Correct Craft Martinique

Nautiques (Correct Craft) are actually the best Ski boats, even though CC's and MC's are priced about the same.

    I am biased though....

agree 110%.. Nothing pulls you out of the water like a Nautique, and the hull design is unmatched..

A friend of mine has a MC tricked out for wake boarding. The ballasting system is absolutly amazing. He's bing into videoing so on his overhead rack he's got a several camera mounts and a 10k speaker/stereo. He's boarding into late fall. So by then the water temps are down into the 40's. A bit to cold for my taste though.

Here is a link to a random site with a good picture. You should be able to find these in most any home improvement store / hardware store.

PVC expansion couplings from FAMOUS PLUMBING SUPPLY

If the twist the center part the device kind of locks in place but if you loosen it up just a little bit you can slide it in or out. This is how I have mine set so that I can change the length without having to reach down into the overflow to losen up the collar. Also, I did not cement my overflows in place -- since the connections are underwater anyway, I don't worry if they're 100% leak free. This makes it easy for me to get them out of their if I'd ever need to change anything. Of course I would close the ball valves on my drains before pulling out the overflow pipes lest I dump a ton of water down into my sump. I think that my overflows hold 16gal of water each.

Woohoo... I've got 200gal of salt water ready to go in the tank. I started Sunday night and 40 hours later the vat is full. I actually had a little Christening ceremony this morning when I opened the ball valve at the bottom of the tank and found that one of the fittings wasn't cemented very well and was leaking. Thankfully, I didn't skimp on valves. I just closed the valve, recemented the joint, and 2 hours later everything was good to go. I would be nice to transfer this water tot he tank and get going on another batch but I'm going to be patient and get my aquascaping done before I put hundreds of gallons of water in there. I think that this will make my life easier in the long run.
