Sorry, my wife won't let me answer any ads on Craigs List unless I can prove that they are Strictly aquarium related.

Luna, does that count as a pun?

I would be so scared to lay across my tank, then again, I have a 30 gal..

also, at the dallas aquarium I swear they have a tank of the same size and I have seen a girl in there in a wetsuit and remote breathing tank doing regular maintenance.. its a thought..

Putting this tank together is a piece of cake compared to raising triplets ;D. I've got some idea since my first is only 21 months older than my twins.

I haven't been looking forward to moving almost 500 lbs of rock from my garage to the room with the tank (about 45 yards away) but it seemed as if aquascaping would be a lot easier if the rock and the tank were actually in the same building. After my last post I went out the the garage, boxed up all the rock, loaded it into the bed of my truck and drove it up to the house. This was a heck of a lot easier than carrying it piece by piece as I had originally thought to do but it was still a royal pain.

Ther pressure's on now because my wife's sofa is supposed to be delivered to this room in less than a week.

After unloading the rock, I snapped a few pictures of the track actuator installation. This is a view from in the mechanical room and you can see the end of the track going through the wall and out over the drop ceiling. At the far left you can see the 4 new outlets that I wired last week for my MH ballasts. These GFCI outlets are on 2 20A circuits.

The carriage out at the end of the track.

A side view of the track projecting out over the drop ceiling and an empty beer can thoughtfully left behind one of my contractors.

    Nice work so far!

That actuator will really help getting into the tank, but that 18" arm stretch might be difficult.

How about a mask and a snorkel?

Are you using any LR from an established tank? If so, how many pounds worth?

On my build, I have a good 300 lbs stuffed in my 90g, and another maybe 100 lbs in a vat that have been seeded with LR from my sump. The water is all coming from my 90g, with the rest made up of freshly made SW. I will be using new sand, with a few cups of live sand seeded from my old tank. Then again, my tank will go from the 90g up, to the contents of that 90g transferred over in a couple of days max. If you are careful, you can do it the way I will be doing it, but a lot of the LR for the bigger tank needs to be from an established tank.

I'd say you have MORE than an idea (or at least your wife does ;D). Having triplets was pretty challenging, but I can't imagine having a toddler running around and then having twins! Yikes!

Good luck moving that rock. Wish we could help. :cheesy:
