Are you talking about the new-ish Pex products, when you say vinyl tubing? Anyone try using Pex for their plumbing?

:yelrotflm:yelrotflm:yelrotflmI haven't been able to convince my kids of that yet. They've been playing Crash: Mind Over Mutants and Wii SPorts Resort out there while I work on the tank. After they go to bed I put on The Living Seas DVD since I don't have any livestock in my tank yet.

Naw the normal vinyl tubing we are used to. I bet pex would work, I have experience with that for boiler systems, but the pex would be a lot more difficult to get onto a barbed fitting. I don't even know if it would stay on without using a pex specific fitting, and those are made of brass and alloy, so not reef safe.

How about getting them a remote control submarine until you get critters in it?

That way you can test the sturdiness of the rock formation;)

Do you have a plan to fisht diseases with?
I mean i think its going to be imposible to catch fish in that tank soon enough so that the tank doesnt get infested with parasites.

My plan is to not introduce parasites. How's that for brilliant ;D.

I suppose another way of putting it is that "an apple a day..." no wait, I meant "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

I am running 120 W of UV strerilization which may help a little bit. My strategy really is going to hinge on being careful who I get livestock from, good quarantine discipline, and more than a little bit of luck. Your prayers are appreciated.
