GTS, if you can get a dymo or similar labeling machine, make labels for the cords of your equipment, and put the labels by the plugs for the cord. That little idea has saved me a lot of hassles when I need to unplug equipment.

    Looking very good:)

Have you received your Calcium reactor yet?

I'd love to see this bad boy in person!! Roger is so homesick that a trip "home" is imminent! Unfortunately, his leg prevents him from being able to sit comfortably for long periods of time so we may have to wait a little while longer to make the trip :(

I have the exact same tunze unit. I remember when I installed it being a bit annoyed at how long the wires were... "who needs wires this long?"

    ;);D

My wife has a lable maker and getting everything labeled is definately on my to do list. I still have some pieces of equipment trickling in but tidying up my electrical cords will be done in the next several weeks. I plan on labling (& color coding?) my plumbing as well.

My calcium reactor should be in soon. My LFS ordered an entire pallet from Geo including a 1218 for his tank and two 818's. One of the 818's has my name on it ;D.

How big is the section in your sump for the return? Do you anticipate a lot of evaporation? The water coming from the left is really flying into the return section

One of the returns from the tank dumps into the skimmer side which is 2' x 2'. This side also gets the return from the UV sterilizer and the frag/40 breeder series.

The center section of the sump that has the 2" bulkhead leading to the Barracuda is 9" x 2'. And you're correct, the water really flies through there.

I don't have any media yet and I haven't decided on a CO2 regulator but I picked up my reactor today. Here it is -- Geo 818. There's a 20# CO2 cylinder sitting off to the left.

Ok, let's see the pics of other folks laying across the tops of their tanks :yelrotflm

I was talking to the guy who did my cabinetry on the remodel and mentioned that I was going to saw off a 2x10 to lay across the tank and he said, "let me make something for you". He showed up with a present today. The dimensions are 2x10 but it's laminated cherry stained to match the fish stand and canopy.

Now the serious question is do any of you every use a mask and snorkel when working in your tank? The idea of dunking my head in the aquarium really doesn't excite me. Maybe a swim cap would help.
