Nice corals - sorry you had a time placing them! Love the aurora goby - it makes me sad :(. We had a really pretty aurora goby paired up with our shrimp until he jumped out. That was a terrible day. I hope your aurora and shimp finally find each other in the GTS ocean!

As far as a grabber, this may not work, but I just thought of the contraption my husband uses to get golf balls out of the water (not that he hits many in the water ;)). It telescopes and has a claw on the end that you operate from the opposite end.

as far as the grabber and what not... I think what you got might be fine... I might suggest practicing on empty frag discs - takes some practice to keep the tension tight on what you are holding all the way to the bottom (or wherever)

Maybe even buy a plastic coral or something to practice placing so that you do not damage a real coral... just an idea.

That's a really good suggestion. It sounds easy to maneuber these things, but once you get a delicate, irregularly shaped living organism on the end of a 4' pole that you are trying to maneuver through water which obstructs your vision and around hundres of pounds of rock and other living things, it really is a task that would benefit from some practice. Getting the practice with something that won't suffer from my learning attempts is probably worthwhile.

Do they still make those little remote control submarines with a hook on them? Probably wouldn't work, but would be fun trying.;D

Looks good! That's what you get for having a tank taller than you are  I can't wait to see some really big awesome super duper corals in there :)

And for the PC/Mac thing, I bought my touch screen HP with all the features I could ever need, with 320 hard drive, 4gb memory, 2.2 AMD Turion processor, an upgrade to Windows 7 (don't have it yet, but I will have it. for free.), and decent video and graphics. I got all of this for $680. Good luck finding a Mac that can even come close to that.

Plus, I hate Ipods. I have a Microsoft Zune and love it.

Forget placing the corals... how are you attaching things like the green monti? Am i to assume that is close to the top where you can reach?

My corals, for the most part are in a different place everymorning if i dont glue em down....

I was thinking the same thing. I have a hard time in my 90g, I can't imagine trying to place them.
