GTS, you should know the rule, you have to spend $100 on a camera for every $1,000 you spend on the tank so you can get one that does it justice :)

If you spent 50,000 on your tank, that's $5,000 for the camera. Some lenses cost more than that ;)

    How's this bad boy.

Only $31,000 for a 39 megapixel. If you follow the 100 per 1,000 rule you must have a public aquarium in your house

Incredible New Life in My Tank :eek::eek:

3 days ago I noticed just a little bit of brown stuff on a few of my rocks. 72 hours later, my diatom bloom is in full swing:p. It actually is pretty impressive. The tank glass was clean last night and by lunch today, the entire front of the tank was covered, not to mention almost every square inch of rock and sand. I didn't have much time so I only tested nitrates but they were only about 10 (the API test kit I'm using is really hard to distinguish 20 from 10 but this looked more like 10). The ironic thing is that I had procrastinated a bit on ordering my big CUC because I was witing for the Nitrates to get even lower :-[. Anyway, I was emailing John Maloney earlier today and should have my order place tomorrow morning. All told, it's about 1000 snails to go with the 75 hermits that I already have from the LFS.

Haha this is a must post picture time. I really want to see your diatom bloom... then pictures of the CUC before you put them in the tank - 1000 snails is going to be impressive.
