That's just room to grow ;D. I'm already feeding him clam juice so that he gets big and strong.

Everything looks great! You'll want to put that clam on the rock though or, in the alternative, put a flat piece of rock or shell underneath its foot :)

I know that you have a huge tank and it makes everything different... but it seems like you are going really fast...

It was a pain in the butt to blow the cyano/diatom off of my sps corals in a 75...i cant imagine how tough it may be in there.

    Just a third partys perspective

BUT, your tank is awesome and i have really enjoyed following the whole process. congrats on a beautiful setup.

...i am looking for a green monti myself. Just picked up a green slimer today

Thanks, I'll do it even though it means getting out the SCUBA gear again.

I'm really putting a lot of trust in the advice of my LFS owners. They have a few decades of experience and a lot of that is setting up tanks this size and larger. Jan is funny. I run all my coral requests by her and she either approves or disapproves them. They have enough long term customers that they obviously aren't steering too many people wrong. Jan was out sick yesterday but I talked to her on the phone and she told me to leave the baby blue Chesterfield that I was eyeing for a later date.

Maxima clams require pretty intense lighting. I don't see how it will survive on the sand bed 48 inches below the surface even with 400 watt halides. I would probably put it halfway up.
