I take that as a yes? :D Hopefully he'll have time to respond today or tonight. A teething baby does not a happy Roger make

Work :(, every once in a while I take care of someone who is so sick or badly injured that they are not expected to survive 24 hours whether they have an operation or not. My rate is still >99.9 that's not to bad if your a baseball player (or even a soap).

Oh, my rates are much better than the surgeons ;D (that's good news for me but maybe it doesn't reassure you all that much ::))

So sorry. It's kinda scary that we're old enough to be grandparents yet our kids are in diapers and elementary school.

Hey GTS, this is just an idea but it might work and save you some money. I have 2 aqualight fans in my canopy that go on when my T5's go to daylight. Of course I have no way near the heat you have but maybe if you tried 6 fans with 3 on each side it might keep the temperature down and save the electricity a chiller demands. One other thought, do you have timers for each pair of metal halides? Are they set to a dawn/dusk pattern?

I do have a really powerful fan in there already. As for the timers, I just need to get around to configuring things. I will have a dawn/dusk pattern with my VHO's and now that you mention it, I think that I will stagger my MH's as well.

Today was supposed to be a happy day for my tank since my CUC came in from ReefCleaners. USPS dropped of about 1000 snails at noon and by 12:30 they were in the tank.

How much of a problem is it to have snails on your corals? I managed to get most of them shaken off but that's part of another story.

    Here are a few pics...

This is what 50 hermit crab shells from Reef Cleaners looks like--there's 50 shells in the rows up top and too many to count in the pile below.
