So i've not had very good luck with this fish. The first one I had , jumped to "Freedom" overnight and turned into fish jerky, and after several months of waiting for my LFS to get another, I woke up 4 days after getting it to find it on the bottom of my take with a Hermit Crab enjoying breakfast.
I think ill cut my losses and try something differant, but what?

What I liked about this one was it had great color and was out all the time ( not skidish and hiding). He spent most of his time in the top 3rd of my tank, but would swim in and out of the live rock when the mood hit him right.

Any ideas of another reef safe fish like this. Needs to be community and compatible with Green mandrin, false perc clowns, Tomini Tang. and may get a scarlet hawk down the road.

Here is the link of what I had for refrence, thanks for any suggestions

Six line Wrasse good choice. Calm, stays about its own business, very visible as it swims around all the time. Helps keep some of the pesky critters down in the tank as well.;D

I loved my 6 line Wrasse but had to get rid of him because he killed a clown. They are suppose to be fairly peaceful, but every so often you can get an aggressive one. Be careful...

6 line is def an option. I like the spotted hawk, but my wife has her heart set on a flame hawk, so better not get 2 hawks.

Any other ideas floating around out there

Hey the 2 spot is nice...haven't really looked at the hogfish before. Just came home from my local chain store and they had a beautiful Tiger Goby, doing some research and may go get him tomorrow. Its a differant direction than I was originally thinking but I may go that way

I would skip the 6 line wrasse if you ever intend on getting other wrasses. These wrasses are probably the worst dispositioned wrasses as far as keeping other wrasses with them, and they don't typically eat pests like flatworms or pyramellid snails. Other wrasses are far better at that.

Most folks call the wrasse you had a solar or solon wrasse.
