Good or bad? There was more of it, but I tweezed some out. It was tough; my fingers had no chance. It looks kinda pretty but I trust nothing!

    "Chaetomorpha Aerea?"

Pic should zoom you in pretty good.

LOL - that zoa rock has been a pain since I bought it. First it got a fungus that killed half the oranges and left white "scars" on most of their faces, now it's growing grass! ;D

Funny, the zoas don't flouresce like they used to either.

So what would you do - just pull it out and give it a good mowing and weedwacking?

    EDIT: Check this out.

Yesterday, because I had some hair algae appearing, I gave the tank a MASSIVE housecleaning.

I gravel-washed my sand (including in the fuge), turkey-basted all my rockwork inside and out, stirred the sand some more, added a third powerhead and used powerheads to blow water all up into the rocks ... I mean I really really hosed this tank good. I put sponges between the baffles in the sump to catch the debris and changed water til my RODI couldn't keep up.

This morning, that "grass" looks almost completely dead. All white except for the very base.

Yes, you took out a lot of the nutrients so it is starving. Only downside is I thought it looked like Bryopsis and it is deep in the rock and will survive and as nutrients build up it will flourish once again.
