your skimmer should be able to handle the demands for introducing more oxygen. although I don't have any experience with the jebo skimmers

    Air stones help stablize ph

    HI,
If you have a sump you can run the air stones and they help stabile the ph, they add little o2 and co2 , the co2 helps lower the ph/kh if your using to much buffer, a safe way to lower Kh without adding things like white vinegar and seltza water so keep the stones.

I ve noticed when I run the air stones in the tank the light gets alot of that dried salt when the little bubbles pop I swear the water droplet can jump 3 feet,I had to clean the light almost daily.

Run airstones in the sump? Never heard of doing that? Wont that cause saltcreep in the stand? Hmmmm. Others please comment!

i only have a canister under the tank i dont think i would run an air stone in any thing under the stand purelly because of salt creep.

We run airstones in all of our sumps. Saltcreep can't be avoided so the airstone doesn't really contribute any more than any other "splashing" piece of equipment would.

dont most trickle filters run the water down the side of the tank to avoid saltcreep?
if theres no spalsh salt creep would be a hell of a lot less it at all, evaprotation would be the only thing lrft to cause salt creepwouldnt it?

Right, without splash, you would still get salt creep from evaporation but I don't know any sump system that doesn't have some splash factor be it from the overflows or from a skimmer.

My sump is in the basement ;D

On my old setups, however, I just wiped the salt creep off as part of my maintenance regimen.
