extend the return pipe down. You could probably find something to fit it, although it probably won't be the traditional fitting if its like my HOB octopus skimmer.

Oh! I get what you're saying now. So I would be making some sort of overflow inside the fuge. Where the overflow would wrap around the inlet pipe. I was thinking about something like that at first. But instead of have something blocking the flow, I was planning on turning the inlet pipe facing upwards instead of downwards. Since the powerhead pumping water into the fuge is not as strong, Im not worry too much about it shooting up over the fuge. And so if the power was to go out, the water would need to be above the inlet tube to drain back into the tank. So somewhat similar ideas. Im gonna give that a try tomorrow.

The bubble issue, I solved that with just putting filter floss.

Thanks guy! Ill report back how everything goes :)

That's exactly what I was that thinking with the "finding pipe that fits it" idea. I didnt realize it was already there for you! Hope that works better :)

Atleast if I have the right understanding of what you're saying, lol.

So I flipped the inlet pipe facing upwards now and its working really well. I had to slightly modify the pipe so it wouldnt stick out of the fuge, but that was quick fix. The fuge does not drain back into the main tank anymore. I really hope this isnt a bad thing..

    Thanks again guys! ;D

Perfect! Glad to hear it. I'll do the same thing if I go the HOB route, so glad to hear it works :)

My biggest concern if I get one now is being sure the return pipe cant get clogged.

If I were you and I wer using floss in the output id drill a hole in the fuge somewhere higher then the output and put a threaded fitting in it so if the floss gets clogged the water can only go as high as the hole u made before it gets drained out into the tank.
