Great LFS in San Diego?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to saltwater tanks, but not new to fw tanks.

I'm heading down to San Diego this weekend and I'd like to know if anyone knows of any great LFS worth checking out while I'm out there in SD.

welcome to 3reef, I don't know of any but I think there should be some good ones.

 

You'll find that Aquatic Warehouse is great for equipment. They're right off the 163 in Kearny Mesa. They have corals & fish (FW & SW) but lately they lag on corals.

For Corals, of course, our undisputed leader & 3reef sponsor, AquaSD right down the street from Aquatic Warehouse. Talk to Will....great people! & pack a lunch....;D

A smaller, more "Mom & Pop" style that is pretty good (& in the same area) is "Octopuss' Garden". Has a great frag tank.

Google them or PM me. Take a small ice chest cuz you won't come back empty handed.

I went to both stores that were suggested. I was especially impressed by the Warehouse as they had 2 MAC certified long nosed butterfly fish.


They seemed to have a very helpful and knoweledgeable staff.
