Well I was at the aquarium this past weekend in Long Beach, which was awesome. I asked someone about donating my tang Naso Lopezi, which is already too big for my tank right now and he will need a monster tank when he is full grown. The volunteer I asked had no idea, so I came home and sent an email to the aquarium. I got a response from the curator of fish and invertebrates and they are much interested in him! I sent them a few pics of the tang and told them my tank parameters that he resides in. I think I will be taking him down to Longbeach this weekend. They said if I can have him down in a week, that would be ideal. They will have to quarantine him and introduce him to a display. I am so going to make a special trip down there when he is in his new home, gonna be great to see the guy in a monster setup. I love it because we rescued him when he was a little guy from a fish store. He was housed with I believe a large Regal and Emperor Angel that just be the S@#$ out of him. We've had him for about 4 years now and hes just getting too big, so its time to give him a good home and what better then the Aquarium of the Pacific!!

So after they saw him/her they just jumped on it and said "....yeah, bring it on down...?" Thats awesome. Was there like a reason or did they give a hint why they wanted it specifically?

Well when I was down there I did notice a lot of really large specimens of his species. They have like a 38 thousand gallon tank with a lot of his kind in it, but I think he is too small too make it in that tank. So I'm assuming he will probably go in one of their smaller setups, I'm going to find out all this information hopefully in the next few days. I'd really like to see the tank he is going to be QT in.

Well I talked the the curator of fish and invertebrates today from the Aquarium of the Pacific and it looks like its a go. Going to take my tang down there Sunday morning, he will be put in a QT tank for two months. Then he might be put in a smaller display if hes a little timid or shy. If hes not, which I think he will do fine, then he's off to their monster tropical reef tank, I think its like 38,000 gallons or some huge amount like that. So I'm pretty stoked and the lady said after a couple months call her and she will get my girlfriend and I tickets to come down and see him in his new home. I'm pretty excited and I'm glad we rescued him back in the day. Gooooooo Indigo!!!
