    #2 source is probably tap water. Dechlorinating the water only takes out so much stuff.

    Chance you might have green coralline? I got that too in my tank right now. Looks bad when forming, but it eventually fills in and looks really nice when it is mixed with purple coralline when that takes hold. Except that you always have to scrape the glass to get it off. Worst problem with coralline.
