Tried scooping the stuff off, tried suctioning off. It just comes back. Also, on the corners of the tank, theres a dark brown coloration in the sand. Any idea on how to rid these things?

I use RO water. Same water I've been using for 2 years now. I started my tank in June 2010. This green stuff started I think back in October or November.

Look up Cyano, thats what it looks like to me. Im no expert though, someone else will tell you for sure but its a good start. It also could be caused by your lights being on too long

Not cyno. I had this once on my 8g nano. Same place too. I used a razor blade to scrape it and airline tubing to siphon it out.
