Green Algae update

Have you tried some garlic with the food to get the firefish eating better? Definitely do water changes once a week to limit nutrients in the system.

 

i have made some pureed garlic, from fresh garlic? will this work?

 

Yes, that should work fine. You can also get pure garlic extract at the grocery store.

 

As I recall your setup is still fairly new (few months old?) some of this will be part of the natural aging of the system and will go away eventually - keep following mike's suggestions and it will definatly limit the ugliness in the mean time
