    He everyone i have a good amount of green algae in my tank. i wipe it off the glass and when i come back maybe a couple hours later its back and its pretty bad.

    so if anyone has suggestions to stop this that would be great cause it makes my tank not look to great

    Two things!
    1) ensure that water quality is ideal with minimal nutrients and dissolved nutrients.
    2) maintainence of proper and essential clean up crew to assist in algae/detritus removal.

    Agreed, it usually means too many nutrients in the water. I've had this problem before, still do, but it's much better. I've cut back on feedings, now once every other day and also cut back on invertebrate and coral food, I used to used a pinch every day, not it's every couple of days.

    Hi, if it is coming back that fast my suspicion is; tank is close to window and indirect/direct sunlight is getting to it and/or your aquarium lights are getting old. What type lighting do you use and how old are they?

    Good call unclejed, I was just about to ask about the window. Also what is the tanks temperature?
