    I use an old toothbrush to get rid of that stuff. take out whatever rock is affected, put it in a bowl of tank water and scrub away. I HATE hair algae, whenever I see a snail roaming around that looks like he needs a haircut out comes the toothbrush.

    ok thanks i went to the lfs and bought this thing called kent marine rock prep its to clean n prepare the rock for a tank and scrub it with the brush it comes and the rock looks real good im going to do one rock at a time to not disturb anything but today i noticed in one spot on my sand theres some coming out should i take out that part of the sand so it wont spread or will it go away since im cleaning the rocks
