    didnt start seing this till i used purple tech for bought a week. Its on the sand rock and the bottom of the glass. Is this just the purple tech workin?

    Well the first pic looks like regular coralline but hard to tell, second pic i would agree with Horton, looks like cyano.

    Just for curiousness how long your tank ben up and running..? And cyano does look like the culpret....

    i bought the tank locally from a guy who had it for 4 months. Ive had it bout a month.

    Agreed. Did you keep the guy's water and rock? Because if the tank has been up and running for 5 months, you may want to try increasing the water flow in the tank with an upgraded pump/power heads to get rid of the cyano.

    what kind of clean crew do you guys recommend for cyano i just have 4 astrea snails and a emerald crab?

    ehh.. here's another ? for ya..... What are your water perameters..?? How did you transport the tank to your place..?? depending how you did it the tank "may" have gone through a mini cycle again..
