I need help on what I should do. I added a bta last week and after acclimating I placed him in the center of the tank under an overhanging rock. He decided to move which seems normal, but I'm not sure if he is stuck. He worked his way to the back of the tank and then into a very tight place between the rocks-sand-glass. He seems fully extended now but he is in a very tight place. Do you think he likes it here? It is getting zero light and food doesnt seem to get blown into that cave. Should I move the rocks around to let him out or do you think he will be able to leave the way he entered. I think he is still trying to find a place to go, he has been moving a little every night.

Highly doubtful that he is stuck. Nems can close to be very small, thus if it wants to move it will. Give it time to get settled in, it will move out sooner or later.

I'm just worried he is too big. He is about 4-5" wide when fully extended.

It can sometimes take anemones quite a while to get fully acclimated, during this time they wont be very visible, often hiding from light. It could be light acclimating itself just aswell as you would do with new corals. I put in a GBTA about a 4 weeks ago and it is only now starting to show its colors and slowly starting to creep up the rock into the full light.

Wow 4 weeks. How will I know its being properly fed during this time? It is very hard to tell how it is doing since I can barely see it.

anemones always know the place where they will have the highest chance of survival, so something about this spot has him attracted to it, it could be flow light food you name it, the anemone knows best. also after i buy an anemone, i always go several weeks without messing with it at all, so it can find a spot it likes. of course unless it hits the acros
