Make sure to start running carbon ASAP if you're not already.

Should be fine. In fact, a friends RBTA did the same thing and next thing he knew he had a bunch of little RBTAs in his tank. Many of them are still circulating amongst local reefers in my area.

He did a water change last night and things appear to be okay so far. No more anemones for us... That's for sure.

    Here is the latest:
As soon as it happened, I removed the powerhead, and cleaned up all the pieces I could find. The Peppermint shrimp were on it immediately. I made 10 gallons of water and as soon as it was fully mixed, I did a water change. I also began soaking a cheap Tetra brand carbon filter in water. As soon as the water was clear I dropped it in the bubble trap of the sump. I then started my RODI on another 25 gallons of water that was ready this morning. I turned the lights on early this morning and all the coral and fish looked totally fine! Clowns were sleepy in their corner, but all the corals, leather, kenya, frogsawn, polyps, zoos, woke up and opened were either opened or opened immediately! I threw some mises shrimp in to see where everyone was and the peppermints came out, nassarius came out of the sand, serpent star and the clowns ate...but went back to their corner.. I think they were just sleepy. They seem sluggish in the mornings...I usually feed them at night and they are very chipper.

I completed the water change and off to open our little nutrition store, where I will be all day long until 7PM.

I can try to get some more water either premade from the LFS or make another 25 over night again...what do all of yall think? I have not had time to test for anything... do I particularly need to? I was thinking ammonia... Everything was zero...phosphates, nitrates, trites, and ammonia before all this went down. Skimmer was particularly full this morning...but it might have come from starting and stopping the system for water changes..I havent been watching when I restart the main pumps...

What/if/when will I know that I am in the clear? I would like to go see my wife, Pepperyfox this weekend (she lives 5 hours away and I commute on the weekends) but do you all think that the situation is too unstable?

PS....we have a very large CUC population...TONS of nassarius, stars, micro stars, peppermint shrimp,...crabs...
