That is very likely. What are your parameters specifically?

I haven't tested them since before the water change I did a few days ago. I'm gonna check it when I get home.

I am just trying to help the guy out by ruling out other possibilities. I am not trying to discredit anyone else's opinion in here. I have acknowledged and agreed with all of them so far. We're all here on this forum to help, not to fight.

So parameters basically rule out water problems...
    Sg - 1.026
    pH - 8.14
    NH3 - 0
    NO2 - 0
    NO3 - 0
    PO4 - 0

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
As previously posted this is not unusual for Chromis.

It's a time old tale, buy a number of Chromis and end up with a couple of dead ones within weeks or sooner.

I agree aggression sometimes is the main factor, I also think some Chromis are just weaker than others, whether from acclimation stress or shipping stress or disease process. Animals naturally weed out the weak ones.

The clean up crew did what they are supposed to do, it happens quickly. Sometimes I never even saw the body. It all depends on the size of the CUC and type.
