    I hear ya. Thanks for the help. The one I found today had actually been blown to the top and somehow got stuck on the top edge of my coast to coast overflow.

    I'd read all the horror stories, and I'd studied and learned of the "pecking order" they go through in captivity. Still, I wanted more than one, so I bought two, making sure they were the same size, etc. From the very first feeding, one bullied the other every time it took a bite of food. In a month, the bully was twice his original size, and the other, which hadn't grown at all and had very few scales left, finally died...

    FWIW, I've seen one successful school- ten Chromis in a 120g tank. I've come to the conclusion that they need a large school and a very large tank to prevent bullying.
