    I can only assume they do, but only when nobody is around. My very first Wrasse (a Red Coris) buried himself in the sand as yours does; I didn't see him for so long that I was sure I'd lost him somehow. A few days after I'd finally given up hope, there he was...

    I can only suggest that you don't fuss or mess around with it; you would only stress him more. He'll come out when he feels comfortable.

    My leopard wrasse was buried for a few days when he was first introduced.
