    So ive heard that the greens dont nip at polyps but just a few seconds ago i saw him up on my frag rack and for the first time my red planet and teal acro didnt have polyp extension. Maybe not so reef safe eh?

    it may not be so much the nipping but the perching that makes the corals mad.

    he wasnt on them per se, just up nest to them. I think he was looking guilty too.... :-(

    I've read they can aggravate the SPS so the polyps sometimes won't open.

    yeah... ill never keep any type of perching fish in an SPS tank. they really cut back on the polyp extension!

    thing is he hides almost 24/7 i wont see him for weeks. Now he goes out of the way to get in the open on my SPS frag rack? SUspect behavior to say the least

    the clown gobies have a habit of perching on corals, probably for protection.

    Haha yeah, I refuse to keep more than 3 or 4 smaller ones now. More trouble than it's worth.
