green coral of some sort??

    [​IMG]i traded a local guy my xbox for his protein skimmer and he threw in this coral for free because he said he needed to trim it anyways. he told me what it was but i totally forgot the name. can any help me id this so i can read up on it?

    With out a better picture (including coralite structure) you'd be guessing beyond the genus Acropora. It's definitely an Acropora though.

    looks like some kinda green acro maybe green slimmer??

    the coral is pretty soft so i dont know if its an acro(not sure if acros are hard or not). what sort of picture would you need? i can try to get a better angle or something

    I agree here with the slimmer.. Meduim water flow and once aclimated to your lights they can handle quite a bit of light.. Pretty decent fast growing to..

    Try using the flash to cut through the blue and get closer.

    You say it's soft? Not an acro then :) You got me, maybe a sinularia or nepthea?

    NEPTHEA!!! thats what he said it was...the name just came back to me...i kept saying neptune in my head:confused:

    thats a very nice lookin coral. i like the green in it.
