green coral of some sort??

thanks everyone for the quick replies!!! ya the coral is beautiful. the color on it is awesome. the guy who gave it to me said his grows like wildfire and i just did some quick research and it says that they are rare in the wild? crazy stuff

Not rare within the hobby but one that is rare in at least one place due to it being locally wiped out (Palau). It's a highly traded species and in areas like mine, a weed Palau Green Nepthea is what they call that strain. Now it is found in MANY other areas (Bali, Indo, PI, SI, MI, etc) in great abundance.

looking trough some pictures of Euphylids i found a close match - E. yaeyamaensis
btw not a coral guy, just stumbled across this.
