Since I got rid of my tang I have noticed small areas in the tank growing hair algae....how can I get rid of it? I have tried pulling it out with tweezers but that didn't work. I know blenny's love algae but I don't think I can have one with my jawfish and watchman goby! is there anything I can add to the tank that will eat it or am I having a phosphate problem. My nitrates are at 0 but when I tested my phos the colour doesn't match anything on the chart.

I use the aquarium pharm phos test, the chart shows green colours, when I test my water it comes out a yellowish colour...doesn't match anything. Any help and suggestions would be great as I have never dealt with this algae before. It is also growing in between my zoo's. Thanks so much.

Get yourself more snails and run a phosphate sponge 24/7 :)

Oh which product is better, Seachem phosguard beads or Kents phos sponge? Can these products be placed in a filter bag and put in the filter with my carbon?

I've only used Phos-Guard and Phos-Zorb so if you can find either, use one or the other. You can put it in your filter with your carbon but it will only work if water actually passes through, and not just over, it.
