My tank has finished cycling. There is a pretty good sized outbreak of green hair algea in the tank. Phosphates were a little high, I think that is from the diatom bloom and green hair. I am going to do a 25% water change today and put a phosphate reducer into tank.

Only thing in tank right now is clean up crew and a few mushrooms and 150 pounds of live rock.
I was planning on adding a few corals and fish this week or should I wait and get this under control first.

Should I even be running lights now or run them much less?

Tank is 150 gallons with LED lighting

    Thanks,
    Justin.

Leave your lights off and manually remove as much as possible. Do you use RODI water?

Fish and coral would be fine. The clean up crew should eradicate the algae as long as you have an appropriately sized crew.

What are your phosphate, nitrate and silicate levels?

If you have corals you should not leave the lights off. Just test your water, remove any organic things from the rock, check for dying things,do water changes,if you need add a phos reactor and calm down.:)
